From Energy Crashes to Balanced Hormones: A PCOS Recovery Success Story
As we get ready for the PCOS Recovery Program Fall Cohort (our 4th cohort!!) I just want to pause and say thank you. We’ve had dozens of incredible members so far, and this community has been such a gift. Each round we learn something new, so we can keep improving the program to support you even better.
Today, I want to share one journey. Because while every member’s story is unique, this one is so common, and I think a lot of you will see yourselves in it. Can you relate?
From Burnout to Thriving: Farah’s PCOS Recovery Journey
Meet Farah: High-output and feeling stuck with PCOS
When Farah first came to us, she was a 32-year-old woman who was diagnosed with PCOS during the pandemic, though her symptoms had been present since her teen years. She’s tried a million and one diets over the years - keto, paleo, intermittent fasting - you name it.
She exercised a ton. Sometimes even two workouts a day. She worked a demanding role. She was one of those high-output people who thrived on staying busy and productive.
But despite her dedication, internally, Farah felt stuck. She was struggling with:
Constant energy crashes mid-day
Unpredictable bloating, alternating between constipation and diarrhea
Workouts that left her drained instead of strong
Late-night cravings - not from hunger, but for comfort after long days of putting everyone else, and her job, first
To make matters more stressful, her blood sugars were creeping up and her lipid panel came back slightly elevated. Her doctor had “warned” her that things could get worse if she didn’t make a change. That warning sat heavy on her shoulders because she was already trying so hard.
Can you relate to that feeling? That mix of confusion, fatigue, and guilt, all while trying to perform at work, at the gym, and in life?
Feeling overwhelmed but ready to take control, Farah decided to start small. Before even joining PCOS Recovery, she began using our Free PCOS Symptom Tracker + Labs Checklist. That simple step gave her a clear picture of how her symptoms connected to her sleep, stress, meals, and cycles. She had real data and patterns to work with from the very start.
Pairing that with her bloodwork results, the pieces started to click. She realized she had real data she could use to move forward, not just random diet rules.
With that clarity, Farah felt ready to take the next step: joining the 12-week PCOS Recovery Program.
The 12-Week PCOS Recovery Journey
Weeks 1-3: Building the Foundation for PCOS Management
We started with the basics, like building the foundation of a house. Through the live coaching, video modules and daily chat box, we started with covering:
PCOS pathophysiology and nutrition essentials
Meal timing and balanced energy intake
A simple meal formula that fit her busy, high-output lifestyle
Even within two weeks, Farah noticed a shift. Her energy felt steadier, digestion began to calm down and she started to rebuild trust in her body.
Weeks 4-6: Diving Deeper into Personalized Nutrition and Supplements
Next, we got more specific. We focused on nutrients and supplements to support insulin resistance, reduce inflammation, and fuel her long workdays and workouts properly.
We identified key minerals and nutrients to help with energy, recovery, and endurance, and set up a targeted supplement routine.
This was when she noticed big changes:
Fewer mid-day crashes
Significantly less bloating (“I almost forgot what that discomfort felt like,” she told me)
Better sleep
And she was actually excited to get her next blood work done
Weeks 7-9: Mind + Body Connection
Then came the mindset shift. Farah started building momentum and trust in herself. She learned how to reconnect with her body and:
Identify physical hunger vs. emotional hunger
Move on after a binge without guilt
Reframe her relationship with food - from restriction and control to self-care and nourishment
Over time, she started eating more intuitively, enjoying her meals, and late-night comfort eating almost disappeared. She shared, “I finally feel like I can trust myself around food, and that’s such a relief.”
Weeks 10-12: Lifestyle + Habit Setting
Finally, we worked on lifestyle and habit-setting. She created practical routines to maintain her progress long-term. Small shifts that fit her life and helped her feel confident that these changes would stick!
By the end, Farah didn’t just eat differently, she felt different. Stronger. More energized. Confident. Ready to show up fully in her career, her training, and her life.
Farah’s Changes Over PCOS Recovery Program
Over time, Farah experienced:
More steady energy all day long
Predictable, comfortable digestion (about a 60% reduction in bloating and discomfort)
Smarter, stronger workouts with less burnout
Shorter, more comfortable cycles and clearer skin
Confidence with food - and no more late-night cravings
Improved labs - better blood sugar and cholesterol trends
Can You Relate in Your PCOS Journey?
If you’re reading this and thinking, “That sounds like me,” you’re not alone. Feeling stuck, exhausted, or frustrated with your body is so common with PCOS, but it doesn’t have to stay that way.
Farah’s story shows that it’s not about restriction or pushing harder. It’s about nourishing your body, building trust, and creating routines that support your energy and confidence.
If that resonates with you, know that it’s possible for you too. You can feel steady energy, balanced hormones, predictable digestion, confidence around food, and strength in your workouts. You can finally show up fully in your life again.
Our Fall cohort of the PCOS Recovery Program is starting soon. If you’re ready to make that transformation, this could be the first step. Imagine trusting your body again, enjoying your energy, and feeling at home in your own life. That’s the change we’re here to help you create!
